An antique Eastlake velvet and walnut rocking chair. This rocking chair is constructed from walnut wood and features a carved crest with two circular burls and two knobs. The stiles are incised, and curve to the front to form arms with padded upholstered rests. The handholds are square with incised details. The skirt to the front features incised details and a petal shaped burl accent. The chair rests on two bases with stretchers and casters, with a rocking mechanism. The seat of the rocking chair is padded and upholstered in rust colored velvet with golden jacquard accents.
