A B&J New York violin with bow and case, circa 1900. This German made full size (4/4) violin is a copy of the instrument made by master luthier Carlo Landolfi (Italy, 1714 – 1784). It is constructed from maple with a spruce top and ebony fingerboard and tailpiece. The label inside the sound hole reads ‘Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, nella Contrada di Santa Margarita al Selgno della Sirena. Milano 1758.’ A Japanese made wooden bow is included as well as spare strings, two spare bridges, three vintage pitch pipes and a black wooden case with a red felt lining.
