A hand-knotted and embroidered Baluch Mashwani wool rug. This textured rug is rendered in a palette of deep red, navy, burgundy, and tan. The navy hued field features a lattice design of diamond and hooked diamond medallions throughout. Framing the field is a main rosette border, along with both woven and cut pile guard borders in geometric patterns. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe with a long embroidered kilim skirt to the ends. It is unlabeled.
