Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Mehriban wool rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of red, blue, tan, pink, and brown. The red hued field begins with a central bloom framed in radiating floral sprays, along with palmettes, leaves, and flower filled vases to each end. The main border has a navy ground color and features a stylized floral meander, while flanked with carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are the remains of overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
