A vintage hand-knotted Persian Bijar rug. This rug features a soft sienna-brown field adorned with an intricate latticed floral pattern in rust and teal with a radiating center medallion showing floral motifs in coordinating colors on a rich cobalt blue ground. The center field is finished with four corner spandrels containing floral motifs emerging from each corner, beyond which is a principal border flanked by identical minor borders in coordinating colors. The rug is finished with a natural warp fringe to each end and a single-wrapped selvedge to each side.
