A Reed & Barton Francis I sterling silver flatware set. This set is made up of fifty-nine items, including eight dinner knives, nine dinner forks, sixteen dinner spoons, eight salad forks, seven butter knives, a spreader, two serving spoons, a serving fork and slotted spoon, a carving fork and knife pair, one sugar spoon, one ladle, one shrimp fork, and an iced tea spoon. Select items – including the dinner knives, butter knives, and the carving knife and fork pair – have Mirrorstele stainless steel blades with sterling silver handles, while the rest of the set is manufactured fully from sterling silver. The flatware is made in Reed & Barton’s Francis I pattern, which was first introduced in 1906. They feature ornate handles with scrolled foliate and fruit motifs, most of which are marked “Sterling Reed & Barton” to their undersides.
