A semi-antique handwoven Central Asian suzani kilim rug. This rug features an array of diamond-shaped forms containing hooked crenelations in a lively color palette of magenta, cobalt, emerald, garnet, tangerine, royal blue, violet, and ecru. The center field is bound by an unresolved border in bright pastel green, beyond which is two rows of trim along the sides and an overcast edge with colorful accents along the ends. The rug is finished with a short warp fringe at each end.
