A hand painted porcelain figurine by Herend of Hungary from the Kingdom Classic Collection. This large figurine depicts the characters from the fable about the tortoise and the hare, painted in the Vieux Herend scalloped fishnet design with 24K gold accents. The hare is painted in blue while the turtle’s body has a rust-colored fishnet pattern with the shell rendered in turquoise, salmon, black and gold. The piece is marked ‘Kingdom Classic 2004’ and has the Herend logo and number.
