A hand-knotted Indo-Caucasian Kazak area rug. This area rug features a cream-colored center field with rust and slate medallions. The central field is also populated with depictions of birds in a palette of rust, slate, navy, gray, olive, gold, bronze and cream. The major border displays a pattern with diamonds of directional arrows in corresponding colors. The rug is finished with rust and slate barber-shop selvedge and natural warp white cotton fringe. This rug is unmarked.
