Item Details
A circa 1910 antique Japanese brocade silk maru obi. This cream double-sided obi is hand decorated with metallic gold, metallic silver and multicolored threads. It is elaborately designed in kasamatsu (pine), sakura (cherry), tsuru (crane), kiku (chrysanthemum), tsuzumi (hand drum), bridge, Genji cart wheels and other motifs, with ajiro (wicker), shippō (seven treasures) and other patterns to the background.

- some light staining.discoloration throughout, some loose threads in embroidery.
