An ink drawing on paper by listed American artist Milton Weiss (1912-1995), dated 1973. This abstract piece depicts defoliated tree branches rendered with intricate delineations and gestural shading. The work is signed and dated to the lower right. The composition is presented unmounted and unframed.

Milton G. Weiss was an active artist in the Pittsburgh community for many years. He studied at the Irene Kaufmann Settlement with Sam Rosenberg and also spent a year at the Art Students League in New York. Weiss was employed as a WPA artist in Pittsburgh and a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. He taught at Ivy School of Professional Art and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

- to fair; wear, minor tears, toning, minor creases and discolorations throughout the edges of paper; minor stains, toning, negligible ink rubbing throughout the composition.
