Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Long Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool long rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of soft red, cream, black, blue, green, pink, and brown. The soft red hued field is a lozenge over a cream colored ground featuring an allover herati design along with floral motifs to the spandrels. Framing the field is a black grounded unresolved main Arab border, along with Hamadan guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
