Hand-Knotted Northwest Persian Wool Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Northwest Persian wool runner. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of red, blue, golden brown, and ivory. The red hued field features four large serrated medallions along with a smaller central hexagonal medallion, enclosed by partial hooked forms, and rectilinear designed floral motifs. Framing the field is a main leaf and blossom border, and geometric patterned guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
