A vintage hand-knotted Persian Mahal area rug. This wool rug features a wide floral patterned medallion of coral, burgundy, bronze, cream, and black against a rust colored central field. There is major border between two minor borders, all designed with floral and vine patterns with a corresponding color palette. The rug is finished with natural warp cotton fringe, and it is unmarked.
