A circa 1930 vintage Japanese handwoven silk crepe formal five crested furisode kimono, hand decorated with yuzen resist-dyed design, surihaku gold and silver leaf highlights and embroidered accents. This cream kimono presents an elaborate, vibrant multicolor design featuring two large peacocks to the lower half with seigaiha (wave) pattern to the feather trains and kiku (chrysanthemum), kiri (paulownia), shoubu (iris), other flowers, multicolor birds and other motifs throughout. Also included are five kamon crest, two to the chest area and three along the top of the back. The lower portion of the interior is lined in the same decorated silk crepe as the exterior and the remaining interior is lined in yellow and white silk crepe.
