Item Details

An antique Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. Champion ‘M’ mantel clock. The clock features a gingerbread style pressed oak wood frame and curvilinear bonnet accented with incised foliage and bird motifs. It displays a glass front door, brass bezel, black hour numerals, and black spade hands. Other features of the clock include a brass pendulum with a scrollwork design, chimes, and plinth style base. The clock is labeled “Gilbert Clock Co.” to the face and verso.

- heavy dust residue; darkening and spots to brass face; scratches, marks and wear to back of wood body; wood knot hole at back; partial maker label; replacement screws; item is untested.
