A marvelous Tiffany & Company mother of pearl fan in the original ivory satin box with labeling to read ‘Paris, Grand Prix, Exposition Universelle, 1878’. The lovely fan expands to reveal hand painted pink and yellow roses on an ivory satin ground. The mother of pearl stays at the handle are spectacular and the gold loop at the tip is embellished with an ornate ivory tassel.

Condition

, the painted side of the fan is in very good condition with only two slight spots of discoloration. The back of the fan has several more spots of discoloration.
