A hand-knotted Indo-Oushak Chobi area rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of brown, soft red, and yellow, with accents of ivory throughout. The field features an allover pattern of palmettes, cloud band motifs, oak leaves, vines, and rosettes. Framing the field are foliate guard borders, while the wide primary border displays a palmette grounded design over ivory. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
