A hand-knotted Persian Karaja wool runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, ivory, pink, black, orange, and golden tan. The red hued field features alternating square and hooked medallions, along with flowering branches along the edges. Framing the field is a main navy grounded border designed with S and bracket devices, with floral motifs to the ends. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and the remains of a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
