American Federal Walnut Slant-Front Desk, 18th Century

Item Details

An American Federal, late 18th century slant-front desk, featuring walnut construction in a medium dark finish and dovetail construction to the drawers and case. The slant-front opens to lopers and reveals a central locking cabinet with fluted pull out secret compartments to either side. To either side are four open compartments above three small drawers with round brass pulls. The case has four full length drawers with brass bat wing bails and the piece rests on ogee bracket feet.
