A pair of antique J. J. Audubon hand-colored lithographs. The lithographs of birds are printed by J. T Bowen of Philadelphia and are from the First Octavo Edition of Audubon’s The Birds of America, 1840-1844. The pair is presented under glass in matching eglomise matted gilt wooden frames. The lithographs are titled Solitary Sandpiper (Audubon Print Plate # 343) and _ Clapper Rail or Salt Water Marsh Hen_ (Audubon Print Plate #310). Each has a wire to the verso, ready to hang.
