An oil painting on panel by 19-20th century Dutch painter Willem Hendrik Eickelberg (Amsterdam, 1845-1920). The painting depict a single figure sitting at the edge of a small road that winds through an autumnal landscape. The painting is presented in a gold tone frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
Eickelberg studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Amsterdam (Koninklijke Academie), and was best-known for his paintings of landscapes and townscapes depicting Dutch life. He lived most of his life in Amsterdam, also spending brief periods in Blaricum and Hilversum.Condition
