Sèvres Style Centerpiece Compote and Candelabra
Item Details
A Sèvres style compote with a pair of candelabra. The compote depicts a couple in antiquated attire lounging in the outdoors with gilt scroll borders to the dark cobalt verge and beaded metal rims accented by angular handles. The candelabra present foliate style arms, pierced scroll handles, and a central courting scene surrounded by gilt accents and cobalt glaze to the porcelain body. The compote bears a faux Sèvres mark to the underside above a circular medallion reading ‘L.B. Paris Made in France.’ The pieces were produced in the late 19th century.
