18K Yellow Gold Coin Mounted Ring

Item Details

A gold signet ring with a Medieval gold Florentine Florin coin that has been soldered into the ring. The coin features a lily which is the emblem of the city of Florence in Italy. The words ‘FLOR ENTIA’ are also featured on the obverse. The reverse features Saint John the Baptist standing. There is a ‘750’ stamp on the reverse of the coin indicating that this is 18K. These coins were made between 1252-1303 A.D. The total weight of the ring is 7.8 dwt.
