A vintage hand-knotted Bakhshayesh Heriz area rug. This wool pile rug features a geometric pendant medallion in hues of pale blue, cream, rust red, and taupe to brown, against a deep red ground. Framing the field are geometric guard borders and primary samovar border. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, a kilim skirt, and wool warp fringe.
