A hand-knotted Bakhshayesh Heriz room sized rug. This wool pile rug features a central star-shaped medallion in taupe, sage, dark blue, burgundy, pale blue, tan, and olive green, surrounded by stylized floral vines sprawling across a madder red field. The main border displays a stylized herati motif, flanked by floral meander guard borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, a brief kilim skirt, and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
