Item Details
A child’s circa 1950 vintage Japanese handwoven silk brocade ceremonial haori jacket, hand decorated in peach, coral, taupe, blue, light green and gold and silver metallic threads. This black jacket features a lattice style pattern to the background, with fire breathing ryu (dragon) and hō-ō (phoenix) motifs and kiku (chrysanthemum) and botan (peony) flower motifs. It has two pairs of white double haori-himo to the front to tie it closed and a white silk lining to the sleeves and the interior.

- stains to interior lining, stains to interior sleeve lining, few loose threads throughout, hems of lining fraying.
