A first edition copy of volume one of The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper. This first edition copy is presented in a leather binding and was published in 1826 by H. C. Carey & I. Lea of Philadelphia. First edition points including page 89 misprinted as 93 and Chapter XVI misprinted as XIV on page 243. The final i is present in folio vii and page 71 is present. (BAL 3833)
