A vintage hand-knotted Persian Malayer Sarouk area rug. The rug features a red lozenge field with Herati pattern throughout and similarly patterned cream colored spandrels. The field is surrounded by running water minor borders and a blossom and leaf principal border. Either end is finished with cotton warp fringe ends.
