An antique hand-knotted Persian Heriz area rug. The wool rug features a central medallion in a palette of brown, taupe, grey, ochre, kelley green, and tan. The field is covered in floral palmettes with a spandrel at each corner that features geometric patterns and guls throughout in a matching palette. The field is surrounded by a compound resolved border that features several concentric border that illustrate flowers and the rug offers a cream fringe at either end, and is unmarked.
