Item Details
A circa 1900 antique Japanese handwoven ro silk kimono, hand decorated in stencil-dyed design. This cream kimono features a large red yagasuri (arrow feather) pattern and blue, green, brown and red kikyo (Chinese bellflower), nadeshiko (Dianthus), sasanoha (leaves of bamboo grass), kasamatsu (pine) and shibakusa (grasses) motifs to a light brown horizontal striped patterned background. This kimono is unlined.
