Item Details

A vintage hand-knotted Persian Senneh Bijar accent rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in palette of crimson, cornflower, rose, cobalt, camel, mint, emerald, buttermilk, and ivory. It is centered with a polyagonal medallion comprised of multi-colored rosettes, while the irregular field features an allover lattice over camel. Framing the field are carnation meander guard borders and primary border displaying an eight-pointed star and leaf pattern over cobalt. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and cotton warp fringe. A label to the reverse reads ‘Made in Iran’.
