A hand-knotted Indo-Persian area rug. This dense wool rug has an allover pattern of palmettes and flowering tree forms in hues of sage, camel, taupe, ivory, avocado, deep blue, and brown, on a burgundy ground. It has a wide border with stylized flowers and medallions, flanked by camel-colored guard stripes. Ends in long cotton warp fringe on kilim strips.
