Item Details
A circa 1900 antique Japanese handwoven silk crepe crested furisode kimono, hand decorated with multicolor yuzen resist-dyed design, surihaku gold leaf highlights and embroidered accents. This black kimono features kasamatsu (pine), kiri (paulownia), ume (plum blossom), kiku (chrysanthemum), sensu (folding fan), tsuru (crane) and other motifs and seigaiha (wave), arabesques, shikishi (poetry card) and other patterns. The lower portion of the interior is lined in the same decorated silk crepe as the exterior and the remaining interior is lined in red silk crepe.
