Hand Fabricated Sterling Silver Nest with Enamel and Gold Foil Eggs by P. Hackim

A sterling silver nest and egg themed sculpture, designed and hand fabricated by artist Pamela J. Hackim. The nest form features multiple hammered sterling silver wires that have been built up and individually soldered together. Inside the nest are two egg forms, (four egg halves) created from fine silver to replicate eggs that have hatched. The inside of each egg half reveals a 24K gold foil interior, protected by clear vitreous enamel and the exterior of each in robin egg blue vitreous enamel. The nest with it’s eggs rests on a natural stone base of lepidolite (lavender mica) which in the metaphysical world is said to have nurturing and calming properties. The charming bibelot makes a wonderful gift for any occasion.
