Hand-Knotted Persian Heriz Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Heriz accent rug. This wool pile rug is worked in a palette of deep red, mauve, indigo, pale pink, khaki-gold, and ivory. It commences with a lobed medallion comprised of geometric florals and flanked by bands of stylized palmettes. The irregular field extends to layered spandrels infilled with complementary motifs over indigo and pale pink. Framing the field is a barber pole guard border, while the primary border displays a carnation meander over ivory. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and natural warp fringe of goat hair.
