A hand-knotted Persian Khamseh wool runner. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of red, blue, ivory, brown, and burgundy. The deep indigo hued field features two stepped hexagonal medallions each infilled with serrated leaf elements and a central rosette, while ending with pendants. It also features an array of branched floral forms, and red hued grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a main rose vine border over ivory, along with carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
