A hand-painted Gerard Ribierre Limoges porcelain trinket box. Features is a box in the form of an Easter basket with a hatching chick nestled among decorated eggs in a green grass bed. It has a chicken form closure at the metals rims while the piece has a curved rope style handle and a woven appearance to the base. The hinged lid opens to reveal a figural chick to the interior. The piece is marked ‘Peint main Limoges France GR’ to the underside.

Condition

- latch is loose; tarnish to metal rims and handle; surface scratches and wear throughout.
