19th Century Japanese Imari Porcelain Plates
Item Details
A selection of three antique Meiji period (1868-1911) Japanese Imari hand-painted porcelain plates. Two of the plates feature cobalt leaves to the center surrounded by three oval panels of flowers and birds with red and golden borders leading to scalloped edges. The remaining plate presents a red and cobalt tree landscape surrounded by intricate flowering blanches to the red verge. The pieces bear no visible maker’s marks which is typical of wares produced in the 19th century.
