Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, black, blue, green, ivory, pink, and tan. The red hued field, stepped diamond medallion, and black grounded spandrels feature an allover herati design, while framed in a main ivory floral and boteh meander border. Helping frame the field are floral meander, and chained guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
