Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, black, blue, ivory, camel, pink, green, burgundy, and brown. The red hued field begins with a central pendant medallion flanked by a flower filled vase to either end, while featuring an allover floral design of sprays and layered light blue and ivory grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a main stylized herati border over black, as well as floral meander and chained guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
