A base metal sculpture of a hunting amazon titled L’Heure du Gouter, circa early 20th century. The standing nude female figure is wearing a fur loin cloth, she holds a sword aloft in her right hand and is carrying a turtle shell pattern shield. The sculpture is affixed to a red veined marble socle, and is signed to base.
