Hand-Knotted Persian Heriz Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool rug. This accent rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, ivory, orange, and brown. The red hued field begins with a large stepped pendant medallion enclosed by ivory grounded spandrels, and accompanied by rectilinear designed floral and foliate motifs throughout. Framing the field is a navy grounded main leaf and blossom border, along with meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
