A hand-knotted Caucasian wool runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, brown, pink, green, and black. The red hued field begins with four rectilinear medallions infilled with hooked devices, while featuring peacocks, animals, and floral motifs throughout. Framing the field is a main two-petal calyx border with a golden brown ground, as well as a floral guard border over navy. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
