18th Century French Provincial Salon Sofa

Item Details

A late eighteenth century French Provincial salon sofa. This antique sofa features a curvilinear wood frame carved with intricate botanical motifs, a high winged back, and has eight scrolled feet. The sofa is upholstered in a vintage moss green and forest green damask-style velveteen fabric which is affixed to the frame with domed brass studs along the interior and exterior surfaces. The sofa includes two large throw pillows and a partial bolt of upholstery fabric. No hallmarks present.
