A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, black, green, orange, brown, pink, ivory, and yellow. The bold red hued field features a pictorial design of flowers, plants, birds, and butterflies, accompanied by a central diamond shaped medallion. Framing the field is a main blue grounded palmette meander border, along with a diamond and X patterned guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
