Hand-Knotted Persian Lenkoran Wool Runner

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Lenkoran wool runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, pink, orange, cream, blue, gray, and black. The red hued field features two stylized lenkoran medallions infilled with bird motifs, and branched forms, while flanking a central band of peacock motifs. Framing the field is a main rectilinear designed border over cream, along with a carnation meander border, and a laleh abbasi border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
