A Mid Century Modern chest of drawers from the Today’s Living collection designed by Milo Baughman for Drexel in 1952. This elm and beech piece has a simple, veneered case with two columns of four drawers, separated by a rounded stile in the center. Each of the drawers has an elongated recessed handle along the center top edge. It stands on a base of straight legs with a front stretcher, dropped slightly from the bottom of the case.
This piece has the Drexel brand and the retailer’s tag inside a drawer, and the collection name, model number, and production date of April 1953 stamped to the back.
