Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of red, blue, green, and brown. The blue colored field features a stylized herati design enclosed by red grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a main palmette meander border, along with floral and boteh meander guard borders, and a minor carnation meander border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
