A Victorian mahogany heron pedestal, late 19th century. The frame features an octagonal top with molded edges above a finely-carved, figural standard in the form of a spread-winged heron standing among rocks and cattails. The pedestal rises on a molded, octagonal base ending in four paw feet.

- to fair; three of the feet have been repaired; some small chips to tips of wings and to tip of one cattail; other various scratches, dents, marks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; structurally stable but with a slight wobble.
